Mickaela's March 2008 Volunteer Information

You will be volunteering to be part of something bigger than ever...Mickaela's March in Louisville, Colorado at Louisville Community Park Located at County Rd. & Bella Vista Drive.

This will be an annual event that will grow as time goes on and your participation is needed. Below we have listed the areas where we need volunteers...

1)  Registration - 8 slots available - 7:30 am - 10:15 am
These positions will help with registration, collection of monies and handing out t-shirts to participants and assist with the start of the two races (1 mile & 5K). Volunteers direct participants as they finish to refreshments.  These volunteers may help in other areas when registration closes at 10:15 am.

2)  5K March Sweep - 2 people - 10:30 am - ??
This person will be required to leave the start point after the last participant leaves the start line for this race.  You will be in charge of making sure all participants cross the finish line and no one gets lost or left behind. Please be aware that these individuals must walk the entire 5K trail.

3)  Prize Table Attendants - 4 people - 9 am - 1 pm
Volunteers will pull, log and distribute prizes.  Prize drawings will be every 1/2 hour.  This is a busy station, BUT lots of fun!

4)  Ticket Sales - 2 people - 8:30 - 12:45 pm
These volunteers will be responsible for selling additional Door Prize tickets for $1.00 each or 6 tickets for $5.00.  This is another way to raise more money and make it fun for those that attend the March. We will also have the remaining $1000 raffle tickets available for $5.00 each. Must be Mickaela Foundation Board member to sell $1000 Raffle tickets.

5)  Water Stop Attendants - 8 people - 8:30 am - ??
These volunteers will be located along the 5K route. There are four water spots along the 5K walk/run. This job is to help with direction for the participants, cheer them on and of course offer water.

6)  Remaining 5 Volunteers - 8:30 am - 2 pm
You will perform floater tasks. This will be important if someone is unable to perform in the position they have volunteered for. 

We have the park until 2:30 pm.  We will have to be sure to have everything cleaned up and returned to its regular state.  Please let us know by Wednesday, September 24th, 2008 which position would best suit you and what your t-shirt size - we have special shirts for the volunteers.  We greatly appreciate your assistance is making this years Mickaela March one to remember.
